Helping Seniors Live Well at Home
Kim is passionate about helping others maintain their highest level of independence, preserving their sense of purpose and independence. Her mother is a very active 91-year old who serves as an excellent role model for aging with a sense of purpose. Her family moved in with her father in law, who suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s Disease symptoms, where they learned both the benefits and difficulties of caring for a loved one in the middle to late stages of dementia.
Kim is a licensed Occupational Therapist, who has worked in a variety settings, ranging from the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and High-Risk Follow-Up to Adult Rehabilitation to Skilled Nursing Facilities. She especially enjoyed assisting her clients and families to safely and successfully return to their homes.
Kim has worked for Home Care Assistance as a Brain Fitness Coach, participating in Dementia Workshops and continuing education courses focusing on the Positive Approach to Care for the geriatric population. She is excited to join the Home Care Assistance Team on a full-time basis serving as the Executive Director. Home Care Assistance stands out given their holistic approach to helping our clients age with a sense of purpose and dignity.
Kim was born and raised in Cincinnati. She has three teenage children, with two away at Ohio State and one in high school. She enjoys all forms of exercise, as well as reading and spending time with her kids and dog.
